Where does Fenix Cycles and Mechanical travel to?
We’re located in Warner, QLD and primarily service North Brisbane and Brisbane City areas.
We do travel beyond this, but locations outside our standard zone may attract a travel surcharge.
Not sure if you’re in range? Just check our Travel Zone Map in the Mobile Servicing menu or get in touch and we’ll let you know what applies to your area.
Do I need to be home while my bike is being serviced?
Not at all! We offer flexible options:
- Bring your bike to work and we’ll meet you there
- Leave it in a secure spot at home with clear instructions
- Be present and show us where to leave it when we’re done
We’re as flexible as you need us to be.
Please note: As outlined in our Terms & Conditions, Fenix Cycles and Mechanical does not take responsibility for bikes left outside or in unsecured locations. These arrangements are made at your own risk.
How long does a service take?
- Starter Service: approx. 30–45 minutes
- Core Service: approx. 1-1.5 hours
- Advanced Service: approx. 2–4 hours
- Custom builds: 2–7 hours (some take 10+)
Every bike is different. If you’re not home, just leave instructions—we’ll complete the job and send your invoice.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my booking?
Easy—just let us know as early as you can. We’re happy to move your appointment. If we’ve ordered in special parts, we’ll hold onto them and reschedule the visit accordingly.
If you cancel the day of the service, OR if Fenix Cycles arrives at address and you are not available for the appointment—a Minimum call-out fee may apply.
Can you build my bike for me?
Absolutely! Whether it’s a boxed bike or a full custom build, Ethan can assemble it to perfection.
We build all types—from road bikes to e-bikes and everything in between—safely and ready to ride.
What if I have more than one bike to service?
Even better! If you’ve got 3 or more bikes at the same location, we offer a 10% group discount on our Starter and Core service tiers. Great for families, housemates, or workplaces booking together.
How often should my bike be serviced?
For most riders, a yearly service is recommended. If you’re commuting regularly or riding 3 or more times per week, we suggest servicing your bike 2–3 times per year, depending on how hard you ride and the conditions you’re in.
To keep things running smoothly between services, regularly clean your bike, lubricate the chain, and check that bolts and components are secure.
Do you stock parts?
Yes—we carry a huge range of high-quality spare parts including genuine Shimano and SRAM drivetrain components, cables, brake pads, tyres, tubes, chains, cassettes, bar tape, rotors, and more.
If we don’t have the exact part on hand, we’re happy to order it in and schedule a return visit to get the job done properly. In many cases, there’s no extra call-out fee for returning—this is assessed by the mechanic on the day depending on the situation.
What happens if my bike needs more work than expected?
If anything unexpected comes up, we’ll contact you first.
You’ll get a clear explanation, honest advice, and a quote before we do anything extra. No surprises.
How do I pay for my service?
We accept EFTPOS, online card payments, and bank transfers.
Payment is due at the time of service or once the job is completed. If you won’t be present, just pre-arrange payment beforehand.
A 2.0% surcharge applies to EFTPOS and card payments.
Is all servicing done on-site?
Yes, we’re fully mobile and carry everything needed to complete most jobs at your location.
In rare cases, if a job can’t be completed on-site, we’ll take the bike to our workshop and return it once it’s done.
No need to provide space or parking—we’ve got that covered too.
What does a typical day look like for Ethan, the owner of Fenix Cycles and Mechanical?
No two days are ever quite the same! Most of the time, Ethan is out on the road, servicing bikes for private clients at their homes or workplaces.
He also takes on full-day bookings for fleet servicing (schools, businesses, etc.), as well as complete bike rebuilds and custom builds.
So whether it’s a quick tune-up or a full restoration, Ethan’s days are shaped by who needs him—and where the bikes take him!
